Not to "Rub" this in, but....

...I spent eight hours at a spa yesterday. My body is saying WTF just happened to us? A day went by without fretting over something? A day without stomach pains? Nervous twitches? Unexplainable outbursts of tears? I was q u e e n for a day: massage, body wrap, high tea with crumpets and sandwiches the size of my belly button, and the longest mani/pedi I've ever had (2.25 hours...that's almost seven minutes per digit folks!). I haven't spent this long in a robe and slippers since I was in the hospital last year.

Before you go on thinking I'm all Miss High Falutin', this was a gift from a client. Me and my best friend went together so lots of giggling was to be heard amongst the snobby rich ladies. We had to give ourselves a dose of reality at the end of the day, the intensity of the lush life was too much. So, we headed down to Sin City's best Vietnamese restaurant -- a total dive in an old diner car -- but oh, the food was sublime. Perfect way to end the day.

Oh it just sounds like heaven! (Well I can't actually picture an entire day without stress - that is just far beyond my imagination - but the rest of it just sounds top notch!)

7 minutes per digit? Oh man, I'd pay anything for that! How the heck did you force yourself back to work today?

A total spa treatment as thanks from a client? Geez, how deep did you bury the bodies? [chortle]
